Friday Nights from 6:00 pm-7:00 pm at the Cohoes Middle School (7 Bevan Street) we offer the Albany County Karate Program. This program is free to Albany County residents ages 5-14 years old. Shihan Tony Butler and his personally trained assistants teach Shotoka Karate. Self-discipline, self-confidence, and respect are just some of the qualities that are taught through this program.

A Free Kid’s Fishing Contest will be held on September 28th from 9am -11am at Van Schaick Pond. This event is sponsored by the Cohoes Rod and Gun Club and is for Cohoes Residents ONLY.
Register in one of three age classes: 5-8years, 9-11 years, 12-15 years. Parents must attend.
What happens? Fish in the pond between 9:00am and 11:00am.
What are the prizes? First, second, third prize trophies for each age class.
What if I don’t catch a fish? Have fun, get a certificate of recognition for participating, have lunch free.
What do I need to do to participate? Mail in registration form by September 25, 2019 to Donna Langley, Cohoes Rod & Gun Club, 40 Lincoln Avenue, Cohoes, New York 12047. Forms are available at City Hall.
Bring your pole with hook and bobber – we’ll supply the worms and help you put them on.
