Sparked by a media report of an Indiana hospital putting out a call for people to begin sewing CDC compliant cloth masks, Cohoes resident Barbara LaMarche went to work. She first confirmed the need locally with Beverly Karpiak, who is on the Board of St Peter’s Health Partners, and then reached out to Khryn Rigney and others who sew to see if they would help.
