The City of Cohoes is in the process of designing a new public-access waterfront park at 70 Delaware Avenue (adjacent to the 112th Bridge) through funding provided by the New York State Department of State under Title 11 of the Environmental Protection Fund. This will be the City’s first public access waterfront park in recent history, and given the nature of the waters around the site, there will be a focus on canoe and kayak infrastructure on-site. There will be a development adjacent to the site which will host 92 residential units designed specifically for seniors and the City is interested in park features which will cater to the senior population.
