CDPHP CYCLE! comes to Cohoes!

Did you know that the City of Cohoes, in a partnership with the Cohoes Local Development Corporation and Capital District Transportation Authority, established a bikesharing program to the City of Cohoes?

Formally called CDPHP Cycle!, this innovative program allows residents and visitors to rent bikes for affordable hourly rates to travel to local destinations.  There will be four CDPHP Cycle! stations in the City of Cohoes in this first year of the Program with twenty available bikes to use.  More information on the Program can be found at the CDPHP Cycle! website, located here:

You will be able to see the stations on the map located on the CDPHP Cycle! website noted above, but the four stations will first be located at the following sites:

•    Southeastern side of the pond at VanSchaick Island Park

•    Intersection of Mohawk Street and Ontario Street (adjacent to City Hall)

•    Adjacent to Canal Square Park

•    Entrance to the Cohoes Heritage Trail adjacent to Craner Park

The stations will be put out on the street in early May and will be taken off the street in late fall, depending on the weather.  Information sessions on how to use the bikes and bike safety will be scheduled in summer of this year.  Details on those educational sessions will be distributed and posted once they are organized, so stay tuned for updates!
