[ARCHIVED] Arrest made in the investigation into multiple larcenies from unsecured vehicles

Christopher M. White of 10 Elm Street, Cohoes, NY was being sought by Cohoes Detectives for an ongoing investigation into multiple larcenies from unsecured vehicles throughout the City of Cohoes over the course of this part summer.  On Saturday, (September 8, 2018) evening, members of the patrol division made contact with Mr. White and transported him to the Cohoes Police Department where Detectives interviewed him with regards to the larcenies from the vehicles.

During the interview, Mr. White admitted to committing the larcenies and gave a voluntary statement to such.  Mr. White was charged with attempted petit larceny as the investigation is still ongoing.  Mr. White was turned over to Green Island Police Department on the strength of Violation of Probation warrant from their jurisdiction.

Police are reminding the public to remove valuables from their vehicles and lock their car doors at all times.
