Please join us for the International Services presentation "Even War has Rules" a fascinating look at the roots and principles of International Humanitarian Law, the Geneva conventions, the Red Cross movement and how it governs our world and armed conflict today.  Tom Pillsworth, American Red Cross International Services volunteer, is the Presenter. Tom brings his unique perspective to the presentation. Tom is a long time Red Cross volunteer, whose service includes volunteering at Ground Zero, managing a Red Cross military station in Baghdad and responding and helping those affected by disasters across the country.

International Humanitarian Law (IHL) is at the core of the global Red Cross network. It is critical in preserving a minimum of humanity in the worst of circumstances. For more than 20 years, the American Red Cross has promoted international humanitarian law through chapter-based courses. 

Although International Humanitarian Law is unknown to most of us, it is something that all of us should be aware of!
