Cohoes Mayor Bill Keeler Urges Residents to Respond to the 2020 Census“It takes less than 10 minutes to make a difference in Cohoes for 10 years”Cohoes, NY (March 12, 2020) – The 2020 U.S. Census count is now underway and the City of Cohoes is working with civic groups, the school district, housing authority, businesses, social service programs, churches, and others to ensure a complete count citywide.“The 2020 Census is a short-term, high impact project that we need everyone in Cohoes to be involved in. Getting our fair share of funding for police, fire, schools, the library, senior programs, plowing & paving, infrastructure, economic development, and more is dependent on getting the Census count right. It takes less than 10 minutes to make a difference in Cohoes for 10 years,” Mayor Bill Keeler said.Cohoes residents can now go online to respond to the Census at: my2020census.gov. A step-by-step Census 2020 instruction video is also available on-line.“The information is confidential and the process is easy,” Mayor Keeler said, encouraging Cohoes residents to “take time to fill out the Census for your household today, and then share the link to my2020census.gov with your family, friends and neighbors, and encourage them to respond to the Census also, so everyone can say #ICountForCohoes.” All are encouraged to respond to the 2020 Census questionnaire as soon as possible and before April 30th.
